External Coatings

Waterproofing Systems offers the following coatings, designed for coating new and existing membrane systems and external surfaces exposed to various climatic conditions.

Gripset P39® is a hybrid polyurethane membrane designed for coating new and existing parapets, solid plaster walls, block walls, re-coating old existing acrylic membrane systems, re-coating old aged iron roofs and old existing sheet membrane systems. Available in light grey colour only.

Gripset P39® Applications include roofs as an exposed membrane finish, parapets, external surfaces exposed to various climatic conditions.

Substrates include: concrete render and masonry, fibre cement boards, plaster board, old existing membranes and metal gutters.

GRIPSET P39® BENEFITS:

With outstanding waterproofing properties and low water vapour transmission, Gripset P39® possesses the unique feature for withstanding early water ponding and permanently wet conditions without re-emulsification.

With excellent UV resistance and anti-fungal properties Gripset P39® can be used to protect exterior substrates for long term protection against UV degradation and harsh climatic conditions.

DURABILITY:

When applied according to specification, the Gripset P39® membrane system will meet the NZBC B2.3.1 (b) requirements of 15 year durability. In trafficable deck situations, for a non-slip finish, sand blind with silica sand during the final coat of the Gripset P39 application. Depending on the level and nature of traffic, a re-coat of the Gripset P39® membrane is required every 5 years. The durability opinion given by Gripset Industries Ltd for the Gripset P39® system indicates that when subjected to normal environmental conditions and use, the system is expected to have a service life of at least 15 years.

ACRYLIC HI BUILD MEMBRANE

Acrylic Hi Build is a UV stable, flexible elastomeric acrylic liquid membrane coating designed for long term protection of surfaces exposed to various climatic conditions.

Applications include external coating of masonry block, solid plaster walls, tilt slab walls, new and existing parapets, non-slip finishes to steps, re-coating old existing acrylic membrane systems, re-coating aged iron roofs and general exterior finishes on commercial or residential buildings.
